Why is there a corpse in the Kitchen? No idea, but I still gotta find all the corpses and collect all the notes. The puzzles are either there as part of the environment, getting A-B or part of telling you about the story in a clear narrative way. The point of a horror game, is that it is story driven. The biggest failing is that none of the puzzles have any cogency with the overarching story. This is a puzzle game of the point and click genre. This is why in most linear stories that have large areas they introduced a waypoint mechanic that shows you where you're meant to go. Spending 60 minutes trying to figure out how to progress is not gameplay is frustration. Just look up a solution to spare yourself the headache.Įvery other puzzle? Clever designed and not too hard to figure out. And since the photo is turn anyway, pieces are missing and the clues hard to see. Because it's not added to your inventory, you can't read the clue. This never triggered for me, in spite of being correct. The reason? Spoiler: The torn photo is added to your inventory if correctly put together. There's one riddle that can be accessed early, but its hint can't be found until the end of the chapter. You might like that chapter.Ĭhapter 4 is another big map and you're running around the entire complex unless you know where to go, you're again running in circles. It's final is also pretty brutal if you don't know what to do.Ĭhapter #3 is a lot more straight forward, divided into three small facilities and with the easiest and most straight forward puzzles. Though, like Silent Hill, you can't enter most doors. Chapter #2 plays inside a giant appartement complex at least twice the size of the husher mansion with plenty of backtracking. That very moment, the doll in the girl’s arms starts to shake as well. “What is happening?” she asks in a shaky voice. The elevator begins to grow darker and begins to tremble. Once inside the elevator, she presses the button for her floor, but the elevator does not move an inch. “This is unusual,” the little girl whispers and waits for the elevator to arrive.
